Fredrickson, Edward Allan Frieman, executive vice president and group manager for Science Applications International Corp., George A. Keyworth, of the Office of the White House Science Advisor, Solomon J. Buchsbaum, senior vice president of technology systems at AT&T Bell Laboratories, and Paul E. Gray, president of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Standing behind them are Robert Hunter, Arthur Karmin, Harold Agnew, director of the General Atomic Co., Edward E. David, president of Exxon Research and Engineering Co., D. Allan Bromley, assistant to the president for science and technology, Edward Teller, emeritus director of the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, David Packard, chairman of the board of the Hewlett-Packard Co., John Bardeen, professor emeritus University of Illinois, and George Cowan, Los Alamos associate director for research and senior laboratory fellow.
