Image caption on page 59 of the book US National Library of Medicine: "Early European bookbinding awaiting repair at the Army Medical Library in Cleveland, Ohio, sometime in the early 1940s. The inventory of the library's rare books, in preparation for the transfer to Cleveland, revealed many such deteriorated bindings. This led to Harold W. Jones establishing the bindery in Cleveland."
