Image Description:

Predominantly white poster with black lettering. Title at top of poster. Title addresses the per liter and per capita consumption of alcohol between 1919-1922. Visual images are illustrations of national flags, bottles of liquor, and coins. The bottles vary in size, depending on the level of consumption in a country. The countries compared are Great Britain (least), Belgium, Germany, France, and Switzerland (most). Lower portion of poster uses Swiss francs of varying sizes to illustrate the taxation of alcohol in the same countries. There is an exact inverse correlation between taxation and consumption.
