Picture caption: In the year of the 150th anniversary of Henry Wellcome's birth, the Wellcome Foundation Archive c.1860-c. 1995 (WFA) is being cataloged and made available for public consultation. This exhibition seeks to illustrate just a few highlights from the archive. Covered are the early days of Burroughs Wellcome & Co., the creation of an international pharmaceutical company, its many and varied marketing ventures, and the importance of corporate branding. It also explores some of the links between the WFA, the Library, and other Wellcome collections.
