Subject: Painting of a serpent in an upright position with its body curved next to the stem of a plant with leaves. The serpent's body is yellow, outlined in red, and has blue, black, green, and orange squares on it. A yellow circle to the side doubles as the sun and the "flower" on the long green stem. The remainder of the painting shows orange ground, tan and yellow sand with a conch, and blue for a body of water that blends into the pink and blue sky.

One of a series of twelve paintings "after the manner of" twelve artists. The posters are part of what is referred to by the accompanying literature as a "caduceus" series by Roussel Laboratories in France. The images really represent the staff of Aesculapius (one serpent encircling the staff) as opposed to a caduceus (two serpents encircling the staff, coming from opposite directions). The posters have numbers on the back ranging from 147 to 158, this being no. 152.
