A child, naked except for beads around the neck and waist, is receiving an injection of antibacterial agents in the buttocks. A number painted on the childs back indicates the amount of sulfone the child is to receive. Verso: WHO/4705. Africa-Leprosy. SM 2-3.1977. The best results in the treatment of leprosy have been achived with a sulphone-oil suspension and the dose to be given to children is adjusted to their body weigh. Children are therefore weighed first and the amount of sulphone to be given is painted on their back before a make nurse administers the injection.
